A roll-off truck needs more room than most people expect: about 60 feet of straight approach and 23 feet of overhead clearance while the bed tilts. Five minutes of prep the night before prevents almost every delivery-day problem we see.
Clear the approach
Move cars off the driveway and street-side parking near the drop zone. Check for low branches and service lines — the truck bed rises higher than the box sits.
Ask for boards
We place wood boards under the rails on request, free. On pavers, fresh asphalt, or decorative concrete, always say yes to boards. They spread the load and prevent rail marks.
Think about the door
Every roll-off has a swing door on one end. Tell dispatch which way you will load from — walking debris up a driveway into the door beats lifting it over a four-foot wall for two weeks straight.
